短文聽讀 Dialogue

　　Jordan is a picky eater. He likes neither fruit nor vegetables. Because of his bad eating habits, he is often either sick or tired. His mother told him that he should make himself eat healthy foods. She said fruit and vegetables would have a positive effect on his health when he gets older. Deep down, he knows his mother is right.

　　喬丹很挑食。他不喜歡吃水果，也不愛吃蔬菜。因為不好的飲食習慣，他經常生病，不然就是感到疲憊。他媽媽告訴他應該要讓自己吃健康的食物。她說當喬丹年紀漸長時，蔬果會為他的健康帶來良好的影響。喬丹內心深處知道媽媽說的是對的。

 

實用詞句 Useful Expressions

介紹常見的使役動詞

常見的使役動詞有 make（叫）、have（叫）及 let（讓），使役動詞之後使用原形動詞作受詞補語，使用方法如下：

 a  使役動詞 make、have 表「叫……」：

make | have + 受詞 + 原形動詞　　叫……
Ross made his daughter cook dinner.
                         受詞   受詞補語
羅斯叫他女兒煮晚餐。

The boss had Jill organize a meeting.
                    受詞 受詞補語
老闆叫吉兒籌備一場會議。
 

Note：
get 亦可表「叫……」，惟其後只能接不定詞片語：
get sb to V　　叫某人……
I got Jessie to buy me a cup of coffee.
　　　受詞 　　　受詞補語
我叫潔西去幫我買一杯咖啡。

 

 b  使役動詞 have 若為「把……」之意，其後須接過去分詞作受詞補語：

have sb/sth + 過去分詞　　把某人 / 某物（請某人）處置

Eric had his bed sheets washed.
                     受詞        受詞補語
艾瑞克把床單拿去送洗。

Bella just had her hair cut.
                        受詞 受詞補語
貝拉才剛剪過頭髮。
