  set 是「設置」、「設定」的意思,但更多時候因為上下文的特定狀況而有不同的意思,一樣為大家用「時機」跟「情境」做分類利於記憶!

  • I can set you up with a friend who works in that industry.(我可以幫你安排見一位在那個行業工作的朋友。)

enlightenedset the mood 營造氛圍、營造情緒

  • The CEO's speech set the tone for the company's upcoming changes.(CEO的演講為公司即將發生的變革定調了基調。)
  • The vibrant colors and lively music at the party set the mood for a festive celebration.(派對上鮮豔的色彩和活潑的音樂營造了節日慶祝的氛圍。)

coolset the tone 是指為特定場合、活動或交流創建或確定一種氛圍、風格或態度。它用於描述一個人或一個事件通過自身的舉止、語言或行為方式,來為整個場景或局勢設定一種基調、氛圍或心情。set the mood"則強調在情感上創造或改變一種氛圍、情緒或心境。它通常與情感、感受或情景有關,並強調通過音樂、燈光、氛圍等元素來營造或改變人們的情感狀態。

儘管兩者在某種程度上可以互換使用,但"set the tone" 更侧重於整體的態度和風格,而"set the mood" 則更關注情感和情景的營造。總結而言,"set the tone" 和 "set the mood" 的主要區別在於它們強調的焦點,前者著重於態度和風格,後者著重於情感和情景。
