 A  Ready for that beer, Jim?
 B  Sorry, Kate. I’ve still got a few more hours’ work to do.
 A  You’re working late again? They must be paying you well!
 B  I wish. I’m getting lousy pay for a 60-hour work week. They just keep piling it on.
 A  They must have thought you didn’t have enough work to do; otherwise they wouldn’t have given you more.
 B  They may have thought so, but I can barely handle my original workload.
 A  You should tell your supervisors. Maybe they can lighten your workload by employing another person.
 B  Ha! You must have never met my boss! There’ s more chance of me winning the lottery.
 A  Can I give you a hand, then?
 B  You must have something better to do on a Friday night, Kate.
 A  I figured the quicker you finish, the quicker we can go for that beer!

 

 A  吉姆，準備好去喝杯啤酒了嗎？
 B  凱特，抱歉。我還得花幾個小時工作。
