短文聽讀 Text

          My friend, Kevin, has been trying to find ways to improve his English. He is good at speaking and listening, but less confident about reading and writing. He loves to eat out at different restaurants, so I suggested he should read and write reviews in English for every place he eats at. He could describe the atmosphere, the location, the cost, and, of course, the food!

           我的朋友凱文，一直在設法找尋增進英語能力的方法。他擅長英語口說及聽力，但對於閱讀及寫作比較沒有自信。他很愛去不同的餐廳吃飯，所以我建議他應該要針對每個他用餐的地方以英語閱讀並撰寫評論。他可以描述餐廳的氣氛、地點及價格，當然，還可以寫那家餐廳的食物！

 4  describe       vt. 敘述；描寫；形容
     The witness described the traffic accident to the police in detail.
     那名目擊證人向警方詳述車禍發生的情形。

 5  atmosphere       n. 氛圍；大氣；空氣

 6  location       n. 地點；（找到）位置
     The rent is cheap. In addition, the location is perfect.
     除了房租便宜之外，地點更是棒得沒話講。

     The cost of paper went up because lumber was in short supply.
     因為木材的供應量短缺，所以紙張的價格上漲了。
