| as if / as though 的用法（表『好像∕彷彿……似的』） | ||

1. 接『假設法動詞』，表與事實相反的情況
|
- She talked to her father as if he were a child.
（她跟她父親談話的口氣好像他是個小孩似的。） - That night, they both acted as though they had never met before.
（當天晚上他們兩人表現得彷彿未曾見過面似的。） - He sounded as if he could crack the case very soon.
（他的口吻聽起來好像他很快就能破案似的。）

2. 接『直說法動詞』表接近事實的情況
|
- It looks as if it is going to rain.
（看來好像快下雨了。） - Jack smiled as though he had seen through me.
（傑克面帶微笑好像早已看穿我似的。）

3. 感嘆句（As if + S + 假設法動詞！） |
- As if I cared! (= I don't care.)
（好像我很在乎似的，才不呢！） - As if I would! (= I won't)
（好像我會去做似的，才不呢！）

4. as if / as though 接『省略結構』
|
- She kept nodding as if (she was) enjoying the speech.
（她頻頻點頭，好像很喜歡這個演講似的。） - My legs are killing me! I feel as though (I had been) run over by a truck.
（我的雙腿痛得很！我感覺好像被一部卡車輾過似的。） - The patient lying in bed moved his lips as if (he was going) to speak.
（躺在床上的病人嘴唇動了幾下，好像要說話似的。） - A woman kept looking at me as though (she was) in need of help.
（有一名女子一直望著我，好像需要幫忙似的。） - He laughed heartily as though (he was) sure of success.
（他開懷大笑，好像對成功很有把握。）
