Clifford is calling Eliza’s company to inform them about a package that was received in error.
E: Hello, this is Eliza, a customer service executive at Congo Shipping. How can I help you?
C: Hello. I’m calling because there’s a problem with our order.
E: Is the order stuck in transit?
C: No, actually, a package arrived this morning. The problem is that it’s not what we ordered.
E: Oh, no. There must have been a mistake at the outbound distribution center.
C: That would make sense. What is the procedure for returning these items and getting the correct ones?
E: Could you give me the shipping number for the package you received? I can check the system to see where it was prepared and shipped.
C: Sure. The number is 425BRD. Also, the packing list has the correct items that we ordered. I suspect there was a mix-up with the delivery forms.
E: Thanks for the information. I will check the shipping log on that package and find out where the mistake was made.
C: Sounds great. Please call me back at the number listed on the delivery form.
E: Yes, sir. Once I sort this out, I’ll call you back.
C: Thanks.
