Eleanor Roosevelt is one of the most inspiring first ladies in history. As the wife of Franklin Roosevelt, the only president to serve four terms, she was first lady from 1933 to 1945. In that time, she fought for many causes she believed in. She also wrote for magazines and newspapers, hosted radio shows, and gave speeches. Sometimes, she even publicly disagreed with her husband’s ideas. After her husband died, she continued to work for the country and also helped to create the United Nations.
