The third Friday of December each year is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. The idea of this holiday came from two guys in Vancouver, Canada. They threw the first ugly sweater party in 2002 to raise funds for their friend’s cancer treatment. Since then, similar activities have become increasingly popular and have led to the establishment of National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.
