Stephen Curry Breaks All-Time Three- Point Shot Record
In mid-December at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the Golden State Warriors’ basketball superstar, Stephen Curry, made history. Halfway through the first quarter of the basketball game against the New York Knicks, Curry made the 2,974th three- point shot of his career. That number broke the previous record of the most three-point shots made in an NBA player’s career.
The previous record had been set in 2014 by Ray Allen. He and the former record holder, Reggie Miller, were both courtside when Curry broke the record in New York. As soon as Curry made the shot, a teammate fouled an opponent to stop the clock so that Curry could celebrate the historic moment with fans and teammates.
