主詞（S） 和 動詞（V） 是組成英文句子的兩大要素。動詞一般可按是否需接「受詞」而有 及物動詞（Vt.） 和 不及物動詞（Vi.） 之分。
不及物動詞 可再分為「完全」和「不完全」兩種。
及物動詞 可再分為「完全」、「不完全」和「授與」動詞三種。值得注意的是，多數動詞往往兼有及物或不及物或完全、不完全的用法。沒有把握時宜詳參字典。
✦＜要點 #1＞ 完全不及物動詞：不接 受詞 ，但可接 副詞 （片語、子句） 句型 1：S + Vi（+ Adv.） - Don't hesitate.
