• Cindy said she would have her ears pierced.
  （辛蒂說她將去穿耳洞。）
• On winter evenings we would all sit around the fire to ward off the cold.
  （在冬天的夜裡我們大家常圍著爐火坐著取暖。）
• Would it be okay if I sat next to you?
  （我坐在你旁邊好嗎？）
• Would you mind waiting outside?
  （請你在外面等候好嗎？）
• I would like / love / prefer to drink some beer.
  （我想喝點啤酒。）

 

2. used to + V 可表 (1) 過去恆常的『習慣』（強調現已無此習慣） (2) 曾經……

• We used to play hide-and-seek after school.
  （過去我們放學後常常玩捉迷藏的遊戲。）
• My mother didn't use to drink tea, but she likes it very much now.
  （我媽媽以前不習慣喝茶，現在卻非常喜歡。）
• Bill used to be a petty clerk, but he has his own business now.
  （比爾曾經是一名小職員，可是現在他擁有自己的事業了。）

 

3. be used to + V-ing/n.　　習慣於……（to 為介系詞

• Sally is now used to working with foreigners.
  （莎莉現在總算習慣跟老外共事了。）
• She was not used to it, though.
  （不過她以前不習慣的。）
