| need 的用法：need 兼有『助動詞』、『本動詞』和『名詞』的用法。助動詞 need 本身沒有字尾變化。本動詞 need 即一般動詞，有 needs / needed / needing 等變化。 |

助動詞 need 的句型： |
- Rich people need not worry about where their meals will come from.（助動詞）
= Rich people don't need to worry about where their meals will come from.（本動詞）
（有錢人不需擔心三餐來自何處。） - Need I say more?（助動詞）
= Do I need to say more?（本動詞）
（我還需要多說些什麼呢？已經夠清楚了。） - I needn't have watered the flowers because it started raining afterward.
（當時我根本不需要澆花，因為之後就開始下雨了。）
