實用會話 Dialogue

 A  My dog is smarter than any other dog in the neighborhood.
 B  Yes, but you feed it too much, so it’s also fatter and slower than any other dog in the neighborhood.
 A  Well, at least mine’s friendlier than yours!
 B  What do you mean?
 A  Ever wondered why the postman doesn’t come to your house anymore?

 A  我的狗比這社區裡的其他狗聰明。
 B  沒錯，可是你餵牠吃太多東西了，所以牠也比這社區裡的其他狗都還要胖，動作也比較慢。
 A  嗯，至少我的狗比你的友善！
 B  你這是什麼意思？
 A  有沒有想過郵差為什麼都不再靠近你的家？

 

單字片語 Vocabulary and Phrases

at least + 數字  至少有若干……

= mailman （美式用法）

 5  anymore　adv. 不再，再也不
anymore 須與否定詞 not 並用，形成下列固定搭配：
not... anymore　　不再……
= not... any longer
= no longer
= no more（多置句尾，較少用）
John does not love Shelly anymore.
= John does not love Shelly any longer.
= John no longer loves Shelly.
= John loves Shelly no more（. 較少用）
約翰不再愛雪莉了。
