The study, which was conducted jointly by three prestigious North American universities with help from the National Parks Service, was not the first of its kind. __2__ They discovered that hearing the sounds of nature has benefits beyond just stress and pain reduction. It can also improve people’s overall mood and help them focus and think more clearly.
