The Chimei Museum in Tainan is known for its art, music, and natural history, as well as its beautiful exterior . It is hosting a collection of portraits borrowed from the National Portrait Gallery, London, which houses the most extensive collection of portraits in the world. The exhibition is called Icons & Identities: Masterpieces of Portraiture and is the grandest world tour exhibition held by the National Portrait Gallery since its establishment over 160 years ago.
The idea of the exhibition is to learn about the individuals in the portraits and how they impacted Britain as well as the rest of the world. It includes over 70 works from the National Portrait Gallery as well as 14 portraits from Chimei Museum’s own collection. The exhibition will run until the end of February 2023. If you are interested in seeing some amazing portraits, be sure to visit the Chimei Museum before then.
The paintings and photos include some of Britain’s most influential people ranging from well-known individuals from centuries ago, such as Charles Darwin and Shakespeare, to modern figures, such as Ed Sheeran and David Beckham.

展品包含英國最具影響力的人物畫像及相片，從好幾 世紀前的名人(像是查爾斯‧達爾文和莎士比亞)到現代 名人(像是紅髮艾德和大衛‧貝克漢)都有。
這場展覽旨在了解肖像裡的每個人物，以及他們如何 影響英國及世界其他地方。該展包含七十多幅來自英國國 家肖像藝廊的作品，以及十四幅奇美博物館自身館藏的肖 像。這場展覽會一路展出至 2023 年二月底。如果你對於 欣賞一些精彩的肖像有興趣的話，一定要在那之前去一趟 奇美博物館。
