Unit 55  go home / go to home？

英文中有些習慣性的表達方式，如果沒有常用或了解其固定用法，就容易說錯。
好比說 go這個動詞，相信大家都很清楚他的用法 ( go to )

想問問大家，如果要說「回家」，哪個說法才是正確的？

 

例 When did you get to home last night?  (X)

     → When did you get home last night? (O)
                                  v.  adv.         

例 I arrived home at 6 p.m. (O) = I got home at 6 p.m. (O)
            vi.   adv.                                vi.  adv.

 

 

例 By the time I reached to home, it was already 1 a.m. (X)

→ By the time I reached home, it was already 1 a.m. (O)
                               vt.       n.

= By the time I got home, it was already 1 a.m. (O)
                         vi.  adv.

= By the time I arrived home, it was already 1 a.m. (O)
                           vi.      adv.

= By the time I  reached my home,  it was already 1 a.m. (O)
                               vt.              n.
= By the time I got to my home,  it was already 1 a.m. (O)    
                               介詞        n.

= By the time I arrived at my home,  it was already 1 a.m. (O)    
                                    介詞        n.

(等到我到家時，已經是凌晨 1 點了。)
 

例 I left home at 8 this morning.  (我於今天早上 8 點離開家門。)
        vt.   n.

例 John left home at the age of 16.  (約翰於 16 歲便離開家在外了。)
              vt.    n.      

 

 

例 I’ll go to home early tonight. (X)
　　　 介詞  n.

→ I’ll go home early tonight. (O)
　　　　　adv.

但 I’ll go to his home tonight. (O)
                           n.

例 I’ll stay at home listening to music over the weekend. (O)
              介詞   n.

→ I’ll stay home listening to music over the weekend. (O)
           vi.  adv.
(整個週末我都會待在家裡聽音樂。)

 

例 Once you contract COVID-19, it’s best to work from home. (O)
           介詞  n.
(一旦你感染 COVID-19，最好居家上班。)
