近期旅遊潮開始熱起來，出國遊玩時想必一定會去大吃大喝吧~
要是和朋友們一起出去吃飯，不管你是自告奮勇表明要請大家吃飯，或是想要分攤付帳，到最後一定會有由誰來付帳的問題。在吃完飯要結帳時，你會怎麼跟服務生「拿帳單」呢? 要是食物吃不完不想浪費，想信你會有想「打包」剩菜的時候，這時候如何用英文跟服務生要打包袋?或是請服務生將剩菜打包呢?

今天就來學學跟「買單」相關的英文說法，出國享用美食同時也不用怕會吱吱嗚嗚說不出半句啦~

 

 

 Can I get the check, please?   請把帳單給我好嗎?

 Check, please. / My bill, please.   結帳。

 Would/Could you bring me the check, please?   可以把帳單給我嗎?

ex: Would you bring me the check when you have a moment, thanks?
(有空請把帳單拿過來，謝謝。)

 

 pick up the tab   付帳

”tab”除了指我們熟知的「標籤」之外，也可以指「帳單」的意思，整句話也有引申為「買單、付帳」的意思。

ex: It’s my turn to pick up the tab. (輪到我付帳了。)

 foot the bill   付帳

”foot”除了指「腳」之外，口語裡也有引申為「支付」的意思。foot有底部之意，源自於the foot of the bill(帳單底部)，因付帳時會在帳單底下簽字，後來foot演變成了動詞，此短語就變成了「付帳，買單」的意思。

ex: It’s my turn to foot the bill. (輪到我付帳了。)
ex: Let me get that. (讓我付吧。)

 It’s my treat.   我請客。= It’s on me. = I’ll pay.

ex: It’s my treat today. (今天我請客。)
ex: It’s on me this time. (這次我請客。)
ex: I’ll pay. You treated me last time. (我來買單。你上次請過我了。)

 go Dutch   各付各的，平攤費用

ex: Shall we go Dutch?  (我們各付各的好嗎?)

 

 a doggy bag   打包袋

打包跟dog(狗)有什麼關係呢? 起源是外國人會把吃剩的剩菜(leftovers)帶回家餵狗，因此這個doggy bag後來就引申為是餐廳提供的「打包袋」。

 wrap sth up   把某物包起來

ex: Can we have a doggy bag? (請問可以給我們一個打包袋嗎?)
ex: Can you wrap it up for me? (你可以幫我們打包嗎?)

ex: We would like to take the rest home if we may. (可以的話，我們想把剩下的帶回家。)

 How much does it come to / add up to?　總共多少錢?

"come to" 為片語，「共計」的意思。"add up to" 為「總計達」的意思。

ex: How much does it come to? Can I pay by credit card?
(總共多少錢呢?我可以用信用卡付款嗎?)

 Keep the change.   不用找了。

"change" (n.) 零錢 (集合名詞，不可數)

ex: Here is 1000 dollars. Keep the change. (這裡是一千元。零錢不用找了。)
