The Academy Awards, often called the Oscars, is one of the biggest film awards ceremonies in the world. For a long time, it has been stereotyped as an awards ceremony for white people because people of color seldom won any awards. Now, it seems that things are changing, and everyone everywhere all at once is finally starting to be recognized for their hard work and talent.
